Alpacka rafts are ultra-light inflatable rafts designed for wilderness boating. Their simple design makes them good for almost any use, yet they're built to endure long-distance treks, rugged handling, and technical whitewater. We build traditional rafts (open and spray-decked) intended to be paddled with a kayak paddle, and a "Dory" inflatable rowboat. We build them to be fun and to last!
Stripped to the basics, our rafts weigh 4 to 6 pounds (1.8 to 2.7 kg) plus paddles.
We strive to make "the invisible raft": a raft that's easy to paddle, quick to inflate, packable, and low-maintenance; a boat that's all about the joy and discovery of wilderness boating, whether it's fishing at the lake or traversing Patagonia. The result is a boat usable by everyone.
"Are they repairable?" Grizzly bear eats Alpacka. We fix.
