We collaborated with Werner to design the Pack-Tour M as the ideal all-purpose packrafting paddle. Werner’s 4-piece system easily breaks down to stow away when you are hiking and the adjustable shaft system allows for on the go length changes for the variety of conditions you’ll face on the water. The design and construction is light weight, while rugged and ready to be tested along with the will to keep pushing forward. Werner’s meticulous, handcrafted construction is second to none and all of their paddles are manufactured in Sultan, WA.
The Pack-Tour M’s adjustable length is designed to allow the paddler to switch between the shorter length for tighter moving water like streams and rivers and open water like lakes, bays, and oceans. The Pack-Tour M is available in two sizes (200-215cm and 210-225cm) with shorter length being better for primarily river travel and the longer size better for primarily open water travel. While all Werner paddles are very strong, the Pack-Tour M is considered a touring blade and not recommended for whitewater. If whitewater is your intended use, we recommend take a look at the Werner Sherpa, or the Aqua-Bound Shred Carbon paddles.
Compared with the Sawyer Cedar Surge II, the Pack-Tour M is slightly heavier and has a more durable blade, while the Cedar Surge II offers infinite feather and length adjustment.
